Padlet TOT Kickstart Session UTHM

The Padlet TOT Kickstart Session at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) was held on 4th February 2026. The session was designed as a Training-of-Trainers (TOT) program and was facilitated by Miss Nadiah Jamal, Padlet’s Education Marketing Manager. This initiative introduced educators to Padlet’s features while equipping them with the skills to train others in effectively using the platform. Through demonstrations and interactive activities, participants explored how Padlet fosters collaboration, creativity, and engagement in classrooms, while also preparing them to cascade this knowledge to colleagues and peers.

Organized by the Centre for Virtual Learning at UTHM, the program carried the title Padlet TOT Kickstart Session. It was moderated by Dr. Mohd. Zulfadli bin Rozali from CVL, UTHM, and facilitated by Miss Nadiah Jamal from Padlet Singapore. The session served as a Training-of-Trainers initiative, aiming to build a pool of competent trainers who could champion the use of Padlet within their institutions. By empowering participants with both technical know-how and pedagogical strategies, the program ensured sustainability and wider adoption of Padlet in teaching and learning.

The objectives of the session were clear and impactful. First, it aimed to introduce Padlet’s tools and features for interactive education. Second, it trained participants in applying Padlet for lesson delivery, assessments, and collaborative projects. Finally, it prepared participants to train other educators, multiplying the impact of the program across institutions.

Several key highlights defined the session. Participants were given a platform overview, which introduced Padlet’s functions and its role in modern classrooms. Hands-on training allowed them to practice creating boards, sharing content, and managing collaborative activities. Trainer preparation was emphasized, guiding participants on how to conduct future training sessions for peers. The educational value of Padlet was also highlighted, with a focus on fostering creativity, critical thinking, and active student participation.

The outcome of the TOT session was highly successful. Participants were equipped with dual competencies: the ability to use Padlet effectively in their own teaching, and the confidence to train others to do the same. This cascading approach ensures broader institutional adoption, promoting interactive and innovative learning environments across UTHM.
